To create a design in the online configurator, simply upload a logo or image in PNG or JPEG/JPG format. You can then place the image on the product, adjust its size and create the desired print layout.
You do not need professionally prepared print-ready artwork to use the configurator. If you have higher-quality artwork files, you can upload them after adding the configured product to the Cart. In the Cart, you can attach source artwork files in SVG, PDF, AI or EPS format to your order. Uploading these files is optional. If you do not have them, simply continue with the order using the design created in the configurator from a PNG or JPG file.
Below you will first find straightforward information for general users, followed by technical information for graphic designers, advertising agencies and companies that have professional artwork files available.
To create a design, upload your logo or image in the following format:
PNG or JPEG/JPG
The uploaded artwork is used to create your print design and position it on the product.
If you can choose between PNG and JPG, PNG is often more suitable for a logo, especially if it has a transparent background.
Yes. A PNG or JPG is sufficient to create a design in the configurator.
Whenever possible, upload the original file in the highest quality available. The better the source image, the easier it is to assess its appearance and positioning on the product.
If you do not have professional artwork files, you do not need to prepare them in order to place an order. You can create the design from a PNG or JPG and continue with your order.
If you have the original logo file in PNG or JPG format, use that file.
Whenever possible, avoid using:
Enlarging a small image does not improve its actual quality.
If you have nothing else available, you can use the available PNG or JPG to create your design. If you also have higher-quality source artwork, you can upload it later in the Cart.
It depends on the desired appearance.
If the colour or surface of the product should remain visible around the logo, use a PNG with a transparent background whenever possible.
JPG does not support transparent backgrounds. If a JPG has a white or other coloured background, that area may be part of the uploaded image.
Do samotného konfigurátoru se pro vytvoření vizuálního návrhu nahrává PNG or JPEG/JPG.
If you have professional source artwork in SVG, PDF, AI or EPS format, you do not need to discard it or replace it with a raster file for production. Use a PNG or JPG version of the logo to create the design and complete the configuration.
After adding the configured product to the Cart, you can also upload the original SVG, PDF, AI or EPS file there as source artwork for the order.
Uploading these files is optional. If you do not have them, continue with the order without them.
No. Custom text can be created directly in the configurator using the Add text function.
This allows you to create, for example, a company name, website address, telephone number, email address, name or other text message.
If you have an original logo or print-ready artwork prepared by a graphic designer or advertising agency, keep the original file so that you can attach it to the order later.
Proceed as follows:
Uploading professional source artwork is optional. If you do not have it, you can complete the order without it.
Vector artwork is generally suitable for company logos, logotypes, pictograms and other graphics consisting of precise shapes.
Vector graphics are defined by curves and shapes and can therefore be resized to the required dimensions without losing sharpness.
Formats that may contain vector graphics include:
The file extension alone does not guarantee that the artwork actually contains vectors. For example, a JPG placed inside a PDF remains a raster image.
If text is included in the supplied vector file, it is advisable to convert the fonts to outlines.
This preserves their exact appearance and means the same fonts do not need to be available during subsequent processing.
This recommendation applies to professionally prepared artwork files. Text created directly in the configurator does not need to be converted to outlines by the customer.
If you use a PNG or JPG as the source artwork, its suitability depends primarily on the number of pixels and the actual size of the finished print.
The same image may be sufficiently high quality for a small logo but inadequate for a larger print area.
Enlarging a small raster image, repeatedly saving a JPG or converting it to PDF does not add the missing image data.
The preview in the configurator is primarily intended for checking the position, size and overall appearance of the design on the product. Colours displayed on a monitor are not an exact reference for the final printed colour.
If you are working with a corporate identity that uses precisely defined colours, provide their Pantone (PMS) references. A typical example is a three-colour company logo for which specific Pantone shades are defined in the brand guidelines.
For orders of 100 pieces or more, pad printing with spot colours is available for selected products. The printing inks are prepared according to the specified Pantone shades, allowing defined corporate colours to be reproduced more accurately than with standard digital printing.
When preparing your order:
The final appearance of the colour can also be affected by the material and base colour of the product being printed. More detailed information about print colours, Pantone shades and the options for reproducing them in print can be found in a separate article.
For a standard order, simply:
